Description
Loctite 222 Threadlocker Low Strength, 50ml
Thread locking Adhesive – low strength. Easy disassembly. Suitable for all metal threaded assemblies.
LOCTITE 222 is a low-strength thread locker that allows the adjustment of screws including countersunk head screws and set screws. Good on low-strength metals which could fracture during disassembly, e.g. aluminium or brass. The product works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. t is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids.
- Prevents loosening and leakage from shock & vibration: It occupies all gaps between mating threads and cures into a hard thermostat plastic that strengthens against shock and vibration.
- Low strength: It is suitable for applications that need frequent disassembly, as it can be easily removed using standard hand tools and for metals prone to shearing.
- Bonds well despite minor surface contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids.
- Loctite 222 Works well on even passive metal surfaces like stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces.
- Fluorescent: It has a characteristic purple color that fluoresces under UV light. This helps during service to detect as to whether the product had been applied.
- Ideal for low-strength thread-locking of adjusting screws, countersunk head screws and set screws
- Prevents loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g. pumps, gear boxes or presses
- Especially suited to small thread sizes
- Permits disassembly with hand tools
